New Delhi: In the view of recent riots in Manipur, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday postponed the Common Undergraduate Entrance Exam (CUET-UG) 2023. The entrance exam will be held on May 29, according to the new dates.
“As far as Manipur is concerned, there are about 3,697 candidates who earlier opted to appear in Manipur for the CUET (UG)-2023 examination. NTA has carefully reviewed the law-and-order situation in consultation with the State Administration and contacted these candidates by telephone for asking about their preferred city,” said the NTA.
“Some candidates who were not in Manipur or wanted to take the examination in another State/City are being allocated to other cities. The option for a change of Centre for candidates from Manipur is still available,” it added.
For Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir
The education board is also looking for a temporary centre in Srinagar for conducting CUET 2023. As many as 87,309 candidates have registered for the exam from the union territory. A total of 1,80,12 candidates will be appearing in 12 Centers in Jammu and Kashmir.
“For the CUET exam on the 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th May 2023. A total of 44,425 candidates will be appearing in 15 Centres created in Jammu and Kashmir. Some candidates have been moved out of the State,” said the NTA.
CUET Admit Card 2023
However, the CUET 2023 will be conducted from May 21 to June 2, 2023 and on June 5 and June 6 this year for rest of the nation while, June 7 and 8 have been kept as buffer days.
Candidates should notice that admit cards for the CUET 2023 has been released on Friday (May 19). Those who have registered for the exam can visit the official website — cuet.samarth.ac.in — to download their hall tickets to appear in the exam hall.
