CUET PG 2026 exam pattern explained
The CUET PG 2026 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Each paper will be 90 minutes long and will consist of 75 questions. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect responses. No marks will be given for unattempted questions.
Candidates can choose up to four question paper codes depending on the postgraduate programmes offered by their preferred universities. Question papers will be available in English and Hindi, except for M.Tech/Higher Sciences, which will be conducted in English only and some language or Acharya papers. In case of any discrepancy, the English version will be considered final.
If a question has multiple correct answers, candidates selecting any correct option will receive full marks. If a question is dropped, all candidates will be awarded 4 marks.
Eligibility and admission process
Applicants must have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in 2026. There is no age limit for CUET PG, but candidates must carefully check university-specific eligibility criteria.
It is important to note that appearing for CUET PG does not guarantee admission. Participating universities will conduct their own counselling processes based on CUET PG scores. Candidates are advised to review individual university policies regarding reservations, quotas and subject requirements before applying.
