The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has commenced the admission process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. The registration process began today, August 1, 2025. Candidates can register for the examinations via the official website of the consortium, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
CLAT 2026 is conducted to facilitate admission into five-year integrated Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Master of Laws (LL.M.), and other related programs.
CLAT 2026 Registration: Step To Register For CLAT UG, PG 2026
Step 1: Go to the official website, consortium onlus.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, Click on “CLAT 2026 Registration”.
Step 3: Register using the email address, phone number, personal information, academic qualification and details or category.
Step 4: you will be directed to upload the photograph and scanned signature along with supporting documents.
Step 5: Pay the prescribed fee and submit the application form.
Step 6: Download the confirmation page for future use.
The registration is open today and will end on October 31, 2025.
The CLAT 2026 for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs is scheduled for December 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The UG exam will cover five subject areas, including English Language, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques, consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
The Postgraduate CLAT exam includes additional subjects compared to the UG exam, covering Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Company Law, Public International Law, Environmental Law, Labour and Industrial Law, and Tax Law.
Students who qualify the exam will be included into 22 NLU’s across India. Here is a list of 22 NLU’s:
