CLAT 2023: The last date to register for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is tomorrow, November 13. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) started the CLAT 2023 application on August 8, which will close the registration for the entrance exam for undergraduates (UG). Candidates can apply for the Common Law Admission Test at the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in

The exam will be conducted on December 18. The Consortium is releasing CLAT 2023 Sample Papers to let the candidates know about the format and pattern of the exam. The first and second sample papers have already been released, while the third CLAT sample paper will be released soon.

CLAT 2023: How to register? 

  • Go to the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in —
  • Click on the link for CLAT 2023 given on the website
  • Now click on Register
  • Register by submitting the requested information
  • Now, login and fill out the application form
  • Submit the application fee
  • After completing the process, take a printout of the application

Know who can register

To be considered eligible for CLAT 2023, students must have passed class 12 or appeared in the board exam. Applicants who have completed LLB or are in the final year of LLB courses can apply for CLAT LLM.

For CLAT UG, applicants must have secured 45 per cent marks or its equivalent in the qualifying examination and 50 per cent marks for CLAT PG. However, the qualifying marks will be relaxed for Consortium reserved category students.

Exam pattern

CLAT UG 2023 question paper will have 150 MCQs each from English Language, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. While the PG question paper covers Constitutional Law, other areas of law such as Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labor and Industrial Law.
