CTET 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam dates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The CTET exam is going to start on 28th December. The board has issued the admit cards for the CTET exam to be held on December 28 and 29, 2022. The hall tickets have been uploaded on the CBSE website — ctet.nic.in

A total of 32.45 lakh people has registered for CTET 2022 this year. The exam will be conducted on December 28 and 29, 2022 at 243 centres in two shifts in 74 cities in which 2,59,013 candidates are expected to appear.

CTET 2022 Exam date

This year, the examinations will be conducted from December 2022 to January 2023 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The examinations will be conducted in two different parts, the first will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. And the second half will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.

The recognition of CTET has now been made lifelong instead of seven years. CTET will be conducted in December in CBT mode in 20 languages. Successful candidates participating in CTET Paper-1 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 1 to 5. While successful candidates appearing in Paper 2 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 6th to 8th.

CTET 2022: How to Download?

  • Visit the official website — ctet.nic.in
  • On the home page, click on “Download Preadmit Card CTET December 2022”.
  • Login with the details and submit.
  • Check and Download Admit Card.

Candidates who pass this exam can apply for appointment to the post of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Army schools across the country.

Minimum marks

Any candidate must secure the minimum qualifying marks to clear the CTET exam. The general category students must bring at least 60 per cent in the examination. On the other hand, for students belonging to Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, this minimum mark is 55 per cent.
