CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board Exam 2023: The Class 10 Social Science examination will be administered on March 15 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It will take place from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. Students must arrive at the exam site by 10 am or earlier.
On cbseacademic.nic.in, the CBSE has posted the marking guidelines and a sample question paper for the Class 10 Social Science board exam. To better understand the types of questions on the exam, students can check out the sample papers which are uploaded on the official website.
The Social Science theory test has 80 points. The sample paper has a total of 37 questions and is divided into six sections: A, B, C, D, E, and F. Every question must be answered correctly and as per the instructions.
The 20 multiple-choice questions (question numbers 1 through 20) in section A of the CBSE Class 10 Social Science SQP are worth one mark each.
Section B contains questions 21 through 24, which are of the extremely short answer variety and are worth two marks each. These questions should only receive 40 words or less in response.
Questions 25 through 29 in Section C are of the short answer variety and are worth 3 marks apiece. The word count for these responses is 60.

Questions nos. 30 to 33 in Section D are long-answer questions worth 5 marks each. Each question’s response cannot be more than 120 words.
Case-based questions with three subquestions and 4 marks each are found in section E (questions 34 to 36).
Map-based Section F or Question No. 37 carries 5 marks and is divided into 37a from History (2 marks) and 37b from Geography (3 marks).

The exam doesn’t offer a broad selection. Yet, some questions offer an internal choice. Such questions only need one of the possible answers to be tried.
