CBSE Board Exam 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to provide a special opportunity to the students participating in the national/international sports events and competitions in the Olympiads. In case a student’s board examinations collide with the dates of national or international sporting events, such as travel dates for competitions validated by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), CBSE will conduct special examinations in a day. 

When will the examinations be conducted? 

CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 re-exam will be conducted within 15 days from the last examination in the date sheet of Main Board Examinations.

Important rules for CBSE Board Exam 2023

  • Only sports recognized by SAI/BCCI and Olympiads recognized by HBCSE are for students. 
  • Only during the dates of the events of that particular Sports/Olympiad in the participating event of the Board and for the travel period for the event. 
  • There will be no opportunity for compartment examinations and also for the practical examinations/projects/internal assessment. 
  • The relaxation in attendance will not be extended beyond the rules of the Board. The opportunity to attend training/selection camps is not available. 
  • No request for relaxation will be accepted beyond the schedule. 
  • The “Certificate of Participation” from SAI/BCCI/HBCSE will be required to be submitted only in the prescribed format to be issued by the Nodal Officers of the organization concerned. 
  • CBSE may amend these SOPs and rules at any time. 
  • No special examination shall be conducted for any student in addition to or in addition to the special examination schedule prescribed by the Board. 
  • SAI/BCCI/HBCSE will be hosting the Certificate of Participation on its website for cross-verification. 
  • Such candidates will not be allowed to appear in the compartment examination as the class 12 examination for all subjects is conducted in one day only, and the class 10 examination is conducted over one week only for a particular combination of subjects. 
  • The certificate of participation is required to be issued by the nodal officers of the respective organizations. 
  • Schools will bring these instructions and SOPs to the notice of all their students, who are likely to participate in National / International sporting events / International Olympiads so that students can take advantage of this initiative of CBSE.
