CBSE Board 2023: Tomorrow, February 24, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will administer the Class 12 board English core and elective tests. Both CBSE hall tickets and school identification cards will be required of students taking the CBSE board exams in 2023. Students who will be taking the English elective and core exams tomorrow can review the sample papers and scoring guidelines at cbse.gov.in
The question paper will be divided into three sections: reading, writing, and literature, per the CBSE English Core sample paper. There will be 80 total marks awarded for the English Core paper.

CBSE Board 2023: Class 12 English Core exam pattern
The Reading Part will concentrate on evaluating a candidate’s comprehension skills. Marks will only be given for responses that show some structure or semblance of cohesive thought as opposed to just paraphrasing a section or a few lines in an attempt to pass it off as a response. There are 20 total points awarded for the reading section.
There will be a 20-point writing section and a 40-point literature section.
CBSE Board 2023: Class 12 English Elective exam pattern
There will be three sections on the English elective test for Class 12 in the CBSE. The English Elective paper for CBSE Term 2 will have no optional components. A total of 80 marks will be awarded for the English elective paper.

- Section B: Writing Skills
- Section C: Literature
