CAT Result 2025 LIVE: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, which conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, announced that the final answer keys will be released on December 17, with result scorecards expected to follow soon after. CAT 2025 was held on November 30 across multiple shifts.
After the provisional answer keys were released, IIM Kozhikode opened an objection window from December 8 to December 10, allowing candidates to challenge any discrepancies. During this period, a total of 187 objections were received across all three sections—Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA)—covering all examination shifts.
Across all three slots, CAT 2025 maintained a moderately difficult level, slightly tougher than CAT 2024. While VARC was generally consistent and slightly easier in some areas, DILR proved to be the most challenging section this year. QA leaned toward the tougher side, especially in Slot 3, which recorded the highest difficulty for the section.
Final assessment across sections (all slots combined):
To ensure fairness and consistency in comparing candidates across different CAT 2025 test sessions, scores will undergo a normalisation process. This process adjusts for differences in location and scale of score distributions across various test forms.
After normalising scores across different forms, they will be further normalised across sections. The scaled scores obtained through this process are then converted into percentiles, which are used for shortlisting candidates.
For reporting, scaled scores and percentiles will be published for each section—Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Section III: Quantitative Ability (QA)—as well as the overall total. Percentile equivalence is used for normalisation across sections.

Every year, more than two lakh candidates take the CAT exam to gain admission to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other leading management institutes in India. Approximately 2.58 lakh candidates are eagerly waiting for their CAT 2025 results. IIM Kozhikode conducted the exam on November 30 in three slots for admission to MBA and other management programs at IIMs and several other management institutes across India.
Candidates can download their scorecards from iimcat.ac.in by logging in with their credentials. After downloading, they should carefully review their personal details and score information. If they find any errors, they must contact the CAT authorities right away to prevent issues during the admission process.
