CAPF constable recruitment: In addition to Hindi and English, the Union Home Ministry has permitted the use of 13 other regional languages for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) Constable (General Duty) test. This historic decision has been taken on the initiative of Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah to increase the participation of local youth in CAPFs and to promote regional languages.

CAPF constable recruitment: Question paper to set in the following 13 regional languages-

  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • Gujarati
  • flag
  • Malayalam
  • Kannada
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Odia
  • Urdu
  • Punjabi
  • Manipuri
  • Konkani

This choice will allow thousands of applicants to take the test in their native tongue or regional tongue, increasing their chances of being chosen. To enable the administration of exams in other Indian languages, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Staff Selection Commission will sign an addition to the current Memorandum of Understanding.

Exam to be held on this day

One of the key tests offered by the Staff Selection Commission, Constable (General Duty), attracts thousands of applicants from across the nation. From January 1, 2024, the test will be given in 13 regional languages in addition to Hindi and English.

Following this decision, it is expected that the State/UT Governments will launch a massive campaign to encourage the local youth to utilize this opportunity to take the exam in their mother tongue and come forward in large numbers to pursue a career in the service of the nation. 

Will start Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs is committed to encouraging the use and development of regional languages.
