The Post Office has announced a bumper recruitment drive, with India Post releasing applications for 21,413 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS-2025) vacancies across 23 circles in the country. The Indian Postal Department has also activated the link to fill out the GDS 2025 Online Form, which became available on February 10.
The last date for online applications for GDS government jobs is March 3, 2025. After that only corrections will be allowed to make in the online application. Last date for making corrections in the filled form will be accepted candidates will be able to make corrections in the filled form from 6th March to March 8, 2025. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, North Eastern states, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Karnataka, Assam, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have the major number vacancies as per now. How To Apply For The Posts?
Candidates can apply for this Postal Department recruitment based on their respective circles. To apply for the positions of Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), applicants must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board. Additionally, knowledge of the local language of the circle in which the candidate is applying is required.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board. They should be at least 18 years old and no older than 40 years to apply. The candidate’s age will be calculated as of March 3, 2025. Additionally, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100 for all categories. However, female candidates, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and transwomen are exempt from paying the fee. For all other applicants, the fee can be paid through any online payment method using the provided payment link. Accepted payment methods include all recognized credit/debit cards, net banking, and UPI.
Pay Scale
Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) receive their pay as Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA), which includes an annual increment of 3%, subject to certain conditions outlined in the GDS Rules.
BPM: Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 29,380 per month.
