Assam class 10 result 2022: Assam government has decided to close 34 schools after not a single student managed to pass this year’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class X board exams.
Districts in which schools are closed include seven from Karbi Anglong district, 5 each from Jorhat and Cachar, 2 each from Dhubri, Goalpara, Lakhimpur, Nagaon and 1 each from Golaghat, Kamrup, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Hailakandi, West Karbi Anglong Chirang, Darrang and Dibrugarh districts.
This year, around 500 students from these district schools participated in the examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA).
According to the education department reports, Students will get a chance to enroll themselves in other government schools located nearby and teachers will also accommodate them.
“Closing schools is not the solution. We just need to open many new schools all over the country. Instead of closing the school, improve the school and make education right,” Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted this in reference to the decision taken by the Assam government.
https://t.co/MBni1PTdng
