Assam board 2023: The Class 10 general science examination, which was supposed to take place today, March 13, has been cancelled by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA). Due to media allegations of the question paper being leaked, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or matric exam for the general science paper has been cancelled. Soon, the new deadline for the general science paper for HSLC 2023 will be revealed.
In a statement released on Sunday, March 12, SEBA claimed that reports on social media that handwritten sample test questions for the general science class of grade 10 had been distributed could have caused confusion and had been cancelled as a result.

Declaring that an inquiry has been opened by the board into this matter and that all appropriate measures will be taken in this regard, SEBA said, “A handwritten model question paper of HSLC exam of general science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 13, 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidate and it is also spread in the social media.”
“We have a belief that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates and keeping in view of this, the examination of general science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 12, 2023 (Monday) is hereby cancelled,” it added.
The English paper for the Assam board Class 10 matriculation exam of 2023 was supposed to begin on March 3 and end on March 20. The Assam board HSLC exams are being taken this year by up to 4,22,174 students, while the matric exams are being administered at 912 locations throughout the state.
The English exam had previously been cancelled by the board due to allegations of fraudulent exam practises by students at Cachar’s JR Ucchotor Madhyamik Vidyalaya Gonirgram Higher Secondary examination centre.
