Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, Poornima University (PU), Jaipur organized a workshop on “EMF Awareness, Tower Myths and Tower Installation Fraud with 5G Technology” in association with the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Government of India.
Rakesh Kumar Meena, Director (Compliance), DoT, Rajasthan LSA (Licensed Service Area) was the chief guest of the inaugural session, while Arpit Shukla, Assistant Director General (Compliance), DoT, Rajasthan, LSA was the guest of honor. Hari Om Gupta, Assistant Director (C-II), DoT, Rajasthan; Dr Manoj Gupta, Pro-President, PU; Dr Chandni Kirpalani, Registrar, PU and Dr Ajay Khunteta, Dean, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, Poornima University were also present during the session.
Rakesh Kumar Meena discussed the various aspects of 5G technology and myths about the mobile towers. He explained that all mobile towers in India are strictly monitored by DoT as per rules of TRAI and they are not harmful as we have myth in society. Arpit Shukla discussed various frauds, which are taking place in the name of tower installation.
Dr Manoj Gupta explained the importance of the awareness session about the 5G and mobile towers. He explained that as per the requirement of 5G we have to install more mobile towers. He also discussed various merits and demerits of mobile towers. Hari Om Gupta demonstrated the process of monitoring mobile tower signals and radiations. At last, Pratish Rawat proposed the vote of thanks.
