Hyderabad: An unknown call was received by the security team at the TCS Kondapur campus at around 11 a.m. on Friday. The caller said that there was a bomb in the building, which led to the panic of 1500 employees, who were evicted from the premises.

The threat was eventually revealed to be a hoax by the bomb disposal squad. The caller was identified as a former security guard for the organisation. He called again, alleging that the threat was a fake, but the bomb disposal crew screened the whole facility and discovered no sign of a bomb.

The caller was tracked down to Bengaluru, and efforts are on to apprehend him.

Previously, identical hoax bomb threat calls were made to two Delhi schools. A bomb threat was issued to Delhi Public School (DPS) on Mathura Road on April 26. The threat was delivered via email. SOP would be followed, according to Delhi Police. Cops hurried to the school as soon as they received the information.

According to the officers, the bomb threat email was made by a pupil at the school, who told the cops during the counselling session that he planned the prank “just for fun.” The youngster went on to say that he got the idea after receiving a bogus threat at ‘The Indian School’ in Delhi’s Sadiq Nagar.
