Rishikesh, Uttarakhand: After about two and a half months, Rishikesh police arrested an accused who kidnapped and raped a 17-year-old minor girl under the guise of marriage.

According to police information, the minor girl was taken away by Pintu, resident of Rishikesh’s Lakkad Ghat Shyampur, on the pretext of marriage.

Pintu was apprehended in Dehradun near the Prem Nagar bus stand, and the minor was safely recovered.
The accused claimed that he lured the minor girl away on a motorcycle on August 31 by promising her marriage. After escaping with the girl, he rented her a room in Vikasnagar.
