Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: In a horrifying instance from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur, a school principal was brutally murdered on Thursday night, December 15. The accused struck the principal with a hammer and an earthen pot, then struck his body with a blade. After obtaining information from neighbours, the police launched an investigation, and the accused himself arrived at the police station and surrendered.
The incident takes place in the Tarbahar police station area of Bilaspur. Pradeep Srivastava, 62, of Nirala Nagar, was the principal of the Higher Secondary School. On Thursday night when he was at the porch of his residence, a kid attacked him. He was attacked with a hammer and a blade. Then the neighbours informed the police.
The police broke into Pradeep’s residence by jumping the house’s boundary wall. Pradeep was drenched in blood. The police tried to search here and there for the offender, however, till then the accused had fled.
The police began questioning various persons on suspicion, but after a time, a young man surrendered in the police station, accepting responsibility for the murder. He claimed that he murdered the principal because he suspected him of having an unlawful relationship with his girlfriend.
The young man told that his lover used to come to the principal for tuition. He doubted that the principal was physically exploiting her, which is why he murdered him.
The accused stated that he purchased a hammer and a blade from the market. On Thursday night, he broke into the deceased’s home and attacked him with a hammer, causing him to collapse. When he saw the victim wasn’t dead, the accused threw a pot on his head and slashed his torso with a knife. After that, he fled the scene.
