Noida: The Noida International Airport in Jewar is soon going to be connected to the rail network. The search for a company has started to prepare the DPR for this project. It will connect the Delhi-Howrah rail network on one hand and the Delhi-Mathura-Mumbai rail network on the other.
The Yamuna Authority has included 55 villages in Bulandshahr district, from Chola and Vair railway stations in Bulandshahr district to the border of Gautam Budh Nagar district in Yamuna City. A high-speed rail system along with a 6-lane motorway will be built between Chola and Palwal. This rail line and the motorway will pass through the boundary wall of Noida International Airport.
A big railway station like Ghaziabad will be built near Noida International Airport with better facilities. Passengers travelling by air from here will be able to easily travel by rail from Delhi-NCR, including Delhi, Ghaziabad, Khurja, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Palwal, Faridabad, and Ballabhgarh. An industrial hub will be built on both sides of the railway line and motorway from Chola to Noida International Airport.
This will provide employment resources for thousands of people. Several rounds of talks have been held with the officials of the Yamuna Authority from the Ministry of Railways regarding this new railway route. Yamuna Authority officials say that the Ministry of Railways has given in-principle consent. Action will move forward soon.
