New Delhi: The incident of stone pelting has come to light in Jammu. Locals pelted stones at the administration in Malik Bazar, Jammu on Saturday. The incident took place when the local administration was removing illegal encroachments in the area. The police controlled the crowd through a lathi-charge. When the situation worsened, the police also used tear gas shells to bring back the situation under control.
Hurriyat leaders involved in anti-national activities
After the formation of the Modi government at the Centre, the crackdown on the Hurriyat leaders started. Many leaders of Hurriyat have been involved in anti-national activities. A few days ago, action was taken on the illegal house of National Conference leader Muhammad Sagar. The party accused the administration of hooliganism. Ali Muhammad Sagar is also the Vice President of the National Conference.

Administration is taking action
For some time, anti-encroachment campaigns are being conducted continuously in the entire Jammu and Kashmir on the instructions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Earlier such incidents used to happen in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier on Thursday, the administration had bulldozed the shopping complex of Hurriyat Conference leader Kazi Yasir. Taking action against the former Union Minister, the officials made 11,000 square feet of land free from encroachment.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has already said that those doing wrong and encroaching on government land will not be spared under any circumstances. He directed all the officers to remove illegal encroachments from all areas by January 31.
