According to police, a father-son combo in Sector 109 maintained two dogs of foreign breeds, which were cared for by their domestic assistant. On Wednesday, she took the animals to the society’s park, and on the way back to the flat, the housekeeper battered one of the creatures three times on the lift floor. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The dogs were rescued after a complaint was lodged by volunteers with People for Animals (PFA), an animal care nonprofit. Meanwhile, PFA member Manjunath Kamath stated that it was a case of animal cruelty and that they will submit a written complaint to the police.
The society’s resident welfare organisation (RWA), on the other hand, declined to reveal any information concerning the occurrence. “We have not yet received a complaint.” If we receive a complaint, we will take appropriate action,” said Inspector Aman Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Bajghera Police Station.
