Bengaluru, known for its vibrant culture and bustling malls, witnessed a disturbing incident of sexual harassment when a video showing an elderly man harassing a young woman at Lulu Mall went viral on social media. The police promptly launched an investigation into the incident, which shocked viewers as it unfolded.
The video captured the elderly man intentionally touching the woman’s back in the games zone of the crowded mall, without her consent. In the footage, the harasser can be seen moving to another location after committing the act. It was disheartening to note that the victim did not protest the misconduct, which was evident in the video.
This disturbing video was originally uploaded on an Instagram account and quickly gained traction on various social media platforms. The incident was reported to have taken place at the renowned Lulu Mall.

The individual who shared the video provided insight into the situation, mentioning, “I recorded this incident today evening around 6.30 p.m. in Lulu Mall Funtura Bengaluru. This man in the video was doing such a thing to the random women and girls around here.”
The concerned witness further revealed the steps taken, stating, “First when I saw him in a very crowded area, I felt suspicious about him and followed him recording the video. Then I got this. Went to security and complained about this, then we came in search of him but we missed. So informed the mall management and security, they said they’ll try to find that person and take action. Shame on such people.”

Subsequently, the jurisdictional Magadi Road police have obtained the video and initiated a preliminary investigation into the incident.
This unfortunate incident comes on the heels of another incident where a woman in Bengaluru lodged a complaint against a Rapido bike taxi driver. She accused him of engaging in inappropriate behavior during her ride, including sending indecent messages and a deeply disturbing act of self-gratification while in transit. The victim shared her harrowing experience on the micro-blogging platform ‘X,’ recounting her ordeal when the driver’s conduct crossed all boundaries, despite her pleas to stop the ride.
