New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party, which is preparing to contest the Gujarat Assembly elections, has appointed MP Raghav Chadha as co-incharge of party affairs in Gujarat.
Thanking party supremo, Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha said, “I am extremely grateful to my political guru and respectful party supremo for giving me this big opportunity to strengthen the party base ahead of the polls in Gujarat.”
“I vow to give my best and work assiduously to fulfil the expectations of my party and ensure AAP’s thumping victory in Gujarat elections,” he said.
Launching a sharp attack on the ruling BJP party, Chadha said that people of Gujarat are now fed up of the self serving leadership of BJP, which has been ruling the state for the past 27 years. At the end of 15 years of Congress rule, the people of Delhi gave us one chance. After that they have never looked at any other party and continue to cast their votes for AAP and Arvind Kejriwal in every election, because they appreciate the performance of the AAP government.
Similarly, the people of Punjab shunned the Congress and Akali-BJP governments which had been ruling the state alternatively for many years, but did no work there. They gave us a thumping majority and are now reaping the fruits of their choice as they enjoy the good governance being delivered by the Bhagwant Mann government.
” Today, there is a wave of “Badlav” (change) in Gujarat. People want change and they are giving immense love to Arvind Kejriwal and AAP party. The BJP has made Gujarat a den of corruption, drugs and unemployment. Huge drug hauls are coming in from Gujarat ports. Gujarat is one of the leading states in unemployment.
The people of Gujarat now wish to try out the Kejriwal model of governance being implemented in Delhi and Punjab and want to be rid of the corrupt and non-performing governments of the past. This has unnerved the BJP which is using every tool to halt the growing popularity of AAP by any means,” said the MP.
The senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha is credited with being the co-architect of the party’s landslide victory in Punjab when AAP clinched a formidable 79 per cent majority by winning 92 out of 117 assembly seats earlier this year.
A party spokesperson said that the young enthusiastic and dynamic leader Raghav Chadha is very popular among the youth and that’s the prime reason that the party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has entrusted this big responsibility to him ahead of the crucial assembly polls in the Gujarat state.
