Madhya Pradesh: The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat Express collided with cattle on Thursday evening near Gwalior station in Madhya Pradesh. The front portion of the train was damaged in the accident.
The Bhopal-bound Vande Bharat Express (number 20172) hit the cattle at around 6.15 p.m. and was stopped at the spot for about 15 minutes, the official said. The train was moved ahead after necessary repairs to the damaged portion.
The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 1. Addressing a gathering after the flag-off ceremony, PM Modi said, “Our endeavour is to transform the railway sector and make travel convenient for citizens.”

Hazrat Nizamuddin-Rani Kamalapati Vande Bharat Express is the 11th semi-high-speed train in the country. This train covers a distance of 708 kilometres in 7.45 hours. The PM said that Vande Bharat is a symbol of new development in India, and there is a demand for it in every nook and cranny of the country.
