Uttarakhand government official dies before Char Dam Yatra begins; Details here
New Delhi: An accident happened before the start of the Kedarnath Yatra. A Uttarakhand government official has died. During the landing of the helicopter, when Amit Saini was going near the helicopter, at the same time his neck was cut due to the grip of the rear fan and he died on the spot.
According to the information, Saini came within range of the tail rotor blade of the helicopter when he was trying to take a selfie. The incident took place a day after the Char Dham Yatra began on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya with the opening of portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarkashi district for pilgrims.

More than 16 lakh pilgrims have already registered for the pilgrimage and the number is increasing. Whereas, the doors of Kedarnath will open on April 25 and Badrinath on April 27. The administration is engaged in preparations. The temple committee is also doing the work of decorating the Kedarnath temple. All the departments are busy with their respective preparations.
