Ghaziabad: A woman was beaten with an axe by her in-law’s family members in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, despite over-dowry demand. As soon as the video went viral, the local police arrested the father-in-law.

The incident was captured on a mobile camera by an eyewitness who was present at the movement and shared the video on social media. In the video, the woman was clearly taken out of her home by her in-laws and repeatedly attacked with an axe. Surprisingly, the assault occurred in broad daylight, with no passersby intervening to save the helpless victim. She can be seen screaming in misery and pain as a result of the wounds she received as a result of the brutal assault.

The Modinagar Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) supplied additional information on the matter, noting that charges were being filed. He stated that the father-in-law had been apprehended and that efforts were being made to apprehend all other people involved in the assault.
