Noida: Roadways buses will be available 24 hours from tomorrow (Monday) for Kanwariyas from Noida to Haridwar in Sawan. Masoom Ali Sarwar, Managing Director of UP Roadways, held an online meeting with all Regional Managers and Assistant Regional Managers on Saturday and gave guidelines in this regard. The buses will run from Morna Depot in Noida.
The Chief Secretary and DGP of the state have given instructions to the Police Commissioner and the District Magistrate to ensure that the Kanwariyas do not face any problems during the Kanwar Yatra in the district, and before starting the yatra, potholes are being filled on the roads of the Kanwar route.
Additional District Magistrate Dr Nitin Madan said that Kanwar routes have been selected in Gautam Budh Nagar, which will be made pothole-free before the Kanwar Yatra begins, and the route diversion outline is also ready so that drivers do not face any kind of problem. Officials of Noida Depot told me that in view of Kanwar Mela, 40 buses of UP Roadways will be running for Haridwar. With the increase in the number of devotees, the number of buses will also increase. 100 buses are being installed for the special bus service in Sawan. A control room will also be set up for the operation of UP Roadways buses.
Points to remember during the Yatra
During the Kanwar, its height has always caused accidents, so this time the height has been kept at a maximum of 12 feet. Kanwar will not be allowed higher than this.
Kanwariyas will not be able to carry sharp objects like spears or Trishul with them.
There will be no ban on DJs during the Kanwar Yatra, but the administration will have control. Obscene or provocative songs will not be played on the DJ. Apart from this, there will be control over how loud the DJ can play.
