Bareilly: A 19-year-old Muslim girl converted her religion to Hinduism in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The girl Ilma Khan has also changed her name to Saumya Sharma and married her lover Somesh Sharma in the temple as per Hindu rituals.
Saumya told tha her sister was tortured in the name of Triple Talaq and threatened. Due to which, her sister was in constant fear of being departed from her husband. This made her mind to not marry in the same religion.
At the Agastya Muni Ashram located in Thana Subhash Nagar in Bareilly, Pandit KK Shankhadhar got the woman converted to Hindu rituals with rituals. The girl had left her house and eloped with her lover about two months ago.
The girl said that she is an adult and capable of taking her decision on her own. Now-become Saumya said that she will live as a Hindu forever.

When the family members came to know, she ran away from home
Ilma alias Saumya has married Somesh Sharma, a resident of her own village, in the temple. Earlier, Pandit KK Shankhdhar got the girl purified with Ganges water. The girl said that it is her decision and she has every right to change my religion and marry on my own choice.
The friendship of both happened five years ago. Saumya said that she wanted to study after class 10 but her parents made her drop out from the school. After which, she distanced herself with Somesh who works in Delhi for a private firm.
She said that her family threatened her to kill after she revealed that she is in love with Somesh. This made her to leave her home. She first went to Prayagraj with Somesh. There she got married to Somesh on papers.
