New Delhi: The Uttra Pradesh Police has arrested an accused allegedly for kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Noida in 2021 and trying to push her into prostitution. The accused tricked the teenager saying that they are going for a vacation in Uttrakhand.
14 year old girl was taken to Uttarakhand
As per the information, a 25-year-old youth has been arrested for kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Noida and forcing her into prostitution in 2021. A Noida Police official said that the accused has been identified as Pawan Kumar who is a daily wage laborer. It is alleged that on November 2, 2021, he kidnapped a minor girl playing outside her house in Sector-66.
The accused had made a plan with his partner
According to media reports, the teenager and her parents had given a statement that the accused had taken the teenager to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand after influencing her where she was forced into prostitution.

Another accused who was arrested in April 2022 accompanied Pawan to commit the crime. The victim said that she was friendly with the two accused who told her that they are going to Rishikesh for two days on vacation. After which, the girl went with them.
The girl’s family had filed a case
Noida’s Phase-3 police station in-charge Vijay Kumar said that the girl’s family filed a missing complaint on November 2. The police started investigating the case registered under sections of kidnapping.
After a week, the police rescued the girl safely from Noida itself. Assistant Commissioner of Police Central Noida Amit Singh said that on the basis of statements of the girl, the police also invoked POCSO Act along with serious sections in the case.
Accused sent to jail after presenting in court
On Thursday, with the help of intelligence, the Noida police arrested the accused after about 14 months. The accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail.
