UP News: The Uttar Pradesh government has made removed more than eight hundred government lawyers of the Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench. New lawyers have been appointed in their place.
The order has been issued by Nikunj Mittal, Special Secretary, Law and Justice Department. According to the media reports, all the removed public prosecutors were posted in the previous government.

Order to terminate services with immediate effect
The state government appointed 366 new government lawyers in Allahabad High Court and 220 new government lawyers in Lucknow Bench. Whereas 841 public prosecutors appointed in the previous government have been removed with immediate effect.
In an order issued by Nikunj Mittal, Special Secretary, Law and Justice Department of Uttar Pradesh, it has been ordered to terminate the services of all government lawyers appointed in the Allahabad High Court with immediate effect.
Freshly appointed lawyers
As per the order, as many as 505 State Law Officers have been removed from the Principal Bench of the Allahabad High Court and 336 Government Lawyers from the Lucknow Bench of the High Court.

Whereas the state government has renewed the appointment of public prosecutors in Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench. According to media reports, along with these the services of two Chief Standing Councils of Lucknow Bench have also been terminated.
A total number of 33 additional public prosecutors, 66 from the criminal side and 176 civil brief holders have also been removed. The services of 59 Additional Chief Standing Council and Standing Council have also been terminated.
