Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed retired Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria as the Chief Nodal Officer of its dream project – the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor.
The Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor is a large-scale project of the state’s UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority. Under this initiative, equipment and parts will be manufactured at three locations in Uttar Pradesh with the encouragement of the Government of India in order to lessen the Indian aerospace and defence sector’s reliance on foreign sources.

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retired) has approximately four decades of expertise in the country’s defence service. The Uttar Pradesh government has now designated the UPDIC project’s principal nodal officer to take over this experience. The Uttar Pradesh government is expected to profit from their experience with this initiative.
Former Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria was a visionary and high-ranking commander in the Indian Air Force. Former Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria was also given the Param Vishisht Seva Medal and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.
The participation of Bhadauria will be highly encouraging for the development of the UP Defense Industrial Corridor. He is a former chief of the Indian Air Force who is passionate about advancing the indigenous defence industry and assisting Atma Nirbharta in the defence and aerospace sectors.
