Lucknow (UP): In a hospital of Uttar Pardesh’s Balia district, doctors were compelled to treat patients using mobile torch lights on Saturday night. The video showing the incident taking rounds on the internet.
On Saturday night, the hospital faced extreme darkness due to the power cut. The scenario continued to be the same for next 15-20 minutes as the authorities took time to arrange batteries.
In one of the video on social media, a woman was lying on the stretcher as doctor treats her. Meanwhile, a man was holding his phone with flash lights on.
Similarly, other doctors were treating their patients using phone’s flash lights.
The hospital authorities claimed that there is a generator for back up but it had no batteries. They said that they did not left the batteries on as they get easily stolen.

However, the state government has not make any statement on it yet but Opposition Trinamool Congress did not spared the chance.
Taking to Twitter, AITMC wrote, “UP under CM Yogi Adityanath never fails to record new lows everyday. Doctors were forced to treat patients using mobile torches in a hospital in Balia District. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if we say that darkness is symbolic of BJP’s rule.
