Kanpur: In a heart-wrenching incident reported from Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man allegedly killed his sister whom he wa in love with.

The young man proposed to his sister for marriage but she refused after which, he kidnapped her and committed the crime. Afterwards, the man threw dead body of the woman at the railway tracks, portraying it as a suicide.

The police has taken the man in custody already and interrogating him. Meanwhile, the dead body has been sent for postmortem.

Girl was a High school student 

As per local media, the incident took place in Govind Nagar police station in Kanpur. The body of Priya (17), a high school student from Dabauli, was found lying on the railway track.

Jairam, the father of the deceased, said that the daughter went to coaching at Gujaini J-Block at five o’clock in the evening of December 20 but did not return home till late evening.

After which, the concerned father went out to search for his daughter. He even inquired girl’s friends when he found out that Vishal, a resident of Nagsia village of Kanpur Dehat, had forcibly taken her with him.

Accused absconded with the girl from coaching

The father of deceased said Priya’s aunt’s son Vishal seems to be a brother in the relationship. He wanted to marry Priya but both the families were against it.

On the day of this incident, the father had given a complaint against the accused Vishal at the Govind Nagar police station. In interrogation by the police, the accused youth told that he had taken Priya along with him from outside the coaching. After that, both had reached Kanpur Central Station with the intention of running away.

After reaching the station, the GRP caught both of them and then informed their families. The young man further told that Priya panicked and feared that the family will beat her, so she died by suicide on the railway track.

A police official said the kidnapping of the minor girl student has been confirmed but no evidence of murder has been found. Further investigation is on.
