Udaipur: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a mother in Udaipur’s Ambamata area took her 14-year-old son’s life, casting a dark cloud over what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. The incident has left the community in disbelief, as they grapple to understand the circumstances that led to such a tragic action of a mother towards her child.

As per media reports, just three days prior, the family had celebrated their son’s birthday with great joy and enthusiasm. However, little did they know that this joy would soon turn into unimaginable grief. The mother, while her husband was away on a morning walk, took a drastic step that would change their lives forever.

A fatal act of strangulation

Using a cloth used for drying clothes, the mother strangled her son while he was asleep, with no chance for him to escape the horrifying fate that awaited him. After committing the act, she went about her routine, seemingly unshaken by the gravity of her actions.

When the husband returned home and rang the doorbell, the mother hesitated to open the door, leading to suspicion among the neighbors. Eventually, they decided to intervene and discovered the heart-wrenching scene inside the house – the lifeless body of the young boy lying near the sofa, and the mother sitting nearby, seemingly unaffected by the tragedy.

Struggling with mental tensions

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the mother, identified as Manisha, had been battling with mental stress since 2018. She was undergoing medical treatment and regular tests, but it seems that the burden of her emotional struggles became too overwhelming, leading to this incomprehensible act.
