Delhi-Dehradun Highway: Part of Bharat Mala Pariyojana

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, which is being built as part of the Bharat Mala Pariyojana, has been under construction for a number of years, according to officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This highway’s construction is nearing completion and will allow people to travel from Akshardham to Dehradun in about two and a half hours.

No Toll Tax, Parking Facility Available

Delhi residents won’t have to pay a toll in this area, and the expressway would ease traffic congestion on the Yamuna. On this section of the expressway, entry and exit points have been established at Akshardham, Gandhi Nagar-Geeta Colony, ISBT-Dilshad Garden Marg, Khajuri Pusta Marg, and Signature Bridge Marg. Here, a different loop has been created next to the Shastri Park Red Light. This will make it simpler for cars coming from the Kashmere Gate bus stop to travel on the highway. In Khajuri Khas, entry and departure points have also been created. However, it has taken several months for this bundle to be available.

The elevated section of the expressway will have parking constructed beneath and alongside it. For this reason, National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), a subsidiary of NHAI, has been tasked with creating the parking. In the locality of Gandhi Nagar Market, which is well-known in the capital for its ready-made clothing, three parking spots with a capacity of 1000 cars have been located on empty lots beneath and beside the raised section.
