Jammu: Three members of a family were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
The car they were travelling in met with an accident and rolled down into a gorge in the hilly Bani belt of Kathua district on Wednesday night.
Police said that a car on the way from Jammu towards Bani met with an accident late on Wednesday night when it reached near Maghyar and rolled down into the gorge, as reported by news agency UNI.
It is learnt that the vehicle dropped into a 300-ft-deep gorge killing three members of a family on the spot.
Three of the occupants identified as Monika Gupta (40) wife of Sanjay, Sheikher Gupta (45) son of Ram Lal and Sidharth Gupta (11) son of Sanjay, residents of R S Pura, Jammu, the report said.
However, two of the injured namely Parbhat Gupta (18) son of Pawan Gupta and Rubi Gupta (40) wife of Rajesh Gupta are under treatment at a hospital.
