Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh): A 16-year-old girl here Monday died by hanging herself as she was allegedly harassed by a youth from the same village. The police immediately rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem.
The girl was a student of Class 11 who used to go school by cycle and a youth named Sanjay used to follow her.
The kin of the deceased informed that the man, Sanjay, used to follow her to school and tease her. Owing to which, the girl was in problem.
Family of the deceased informed that Sanjay used to harass the girl and follow her even to her relatives’ house.
They further said that despite warning Sanjay, he continued to tease the victim.
As per a report of Aaj Tak, as many as three accused has been held by the police on a complaint by the father.
