New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) – Stenographer Grade C and D examination, 2022 registration process has been commenced on Saturday (August 20). Those who are willing to apply for the recruitment, can visit the official website to apply at

Candidates can submit their online application at the official website till September 5. However, applicants can submit their online fee by September 6.

The SSC will conduct the exam in computer-based mode that will be held in the month of November, this year.

In an official notification, the SSC said, “Vacancies of Stenographer Grade C and Stenographer Grade D are in Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Central Government, including their Attached and Subordinate offices located in various States and Union Territories all over the country.”

Age Limit

(a) Stenographer Grade C: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., candidates born not before 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.

(b) Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.01.1995 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.

Application fee

Candidates will have to pay Rs 100 as registration fee. Meanwhile, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation will not have to pay the amount.

  1. Visit the official website ssc.nic.in
  2. Go to the registration link appearing on the homepage
  3. Login to the portal to apply for the desired post
  4. Upload necessary documents, make the fee payment and submit
  5. Take a print out for future reference
