Dehradun: A terrible case has come from Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, in which a young guy has been accused of raping a 14-year-old minor girl from the neighbourhood in the Patel Nagar police station region of the city. Following receipt of the complaint, the police opened an investigation and began hunting for the fugitive accused, as well as recording the victim’s magisterial statement.
According to SSI Mohan Singh of Patel Nagar, the victim went to the house of accused Manoj, who resides nearby, on December 18. Manoj is said to have brutally raped the girl and threatened to kill her if she notified anybody during this period.
Eventually, the girl summoned the strength to inform her family on Wednesday, following which the family filed a complaint with the police, following which the police registered charges against the accused Manoj under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act and began action.
