New Delhi: Every day some developments are being made in Shraddha’s murder case. According to new information, she was not happy with Aftab Poonawala. She was a victim of domestic violence. She had also messaged her best friend that she is not happy. She wanted to leave him. But she could not take this step. Even her friends are also surprised as to why she didn’t leave Aftab despite the beating.
Shraddha’s college friend are rolling out statements
Shraddha’s college friends are slowly coming in front of the media and they are making new revelations. A friend of Shraddha told that she was physically abused. He told his best friend. Since we were part of the same friend circle, this word reached me as well. Rajat Shukla, a college friend, further told that Aftab used to hit Shraddha at the very beginning of their relationship. She even told this to her best friend. She also had plans to leave him, but she was not able to do this.
Shraddha had messaged her friend regarding this
Rajat, who met Shraddha in college in 2015, told that Shraddha feared for her life. She had asked her childhood friend to rescue her. She told that if she is not saved she might end up dead. He further told that Shraddha was a very active girl. But she changed after going into relationship.
Shraddha changed after getting into relationship with Aftab
She further told that when Aftab and Shraddha’s relationship started, she started to change. Gradually, she distanced herself from her college friends. After coming to Delhi, her communication were also reduced. Regarding Aftab, he said that it was difficult to identify him. He looked like a normal person.
Aftab used to throw away body parts
Aftab had killed Shraddha on 18 May. After this, his dead body was cut into 35 pieces and kept inside a 300 liter fridge. He would go out in the night for a days and throw the pieces in different areas of Delhi. He survived for about 6 months. But when Shraddha’s father filed a missing complaint with the police the entire case came to light.
The victim’s father lodged a complaint in Mumbai after a friend of Shraddha informed him in September that her phone was switched off for over two months. Aftab was arrested on Saturday, November 12.
