In a distressing incident, a woman was shot dead by two assailants in Greater Noida on Tuesday. The victim, approximately 40 years old, was employed as a domestic worker and was en route from Dadri to Surajpur when the incident unfolded at approximately 8:30 AM, according to police reports.
The victim, identified as Rajkumari, reached a short distance from her residence when two unknown individuals on a motorcycle approached her and shot her. Subsequently, they swiftly fled the scene. Although Rajkumari was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors sadly declared her dead.
A police spokesperson conveyed that Rajkumari’s daughter informed authorities of a monetary dispute between her mother and her sister, shedding light on a possible motive for the crime.

While referencing the daughter’s statement, the police official disclosed that Rajkumari’s sister resides in a village in Palwal district of Haryana, and the two siblings were frequently embroiled in disputes concerning financial matters. Rajkumari had also received threats from her sister.
Saad Mian Khan, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Greater Noida, reported that an FIR (First Information Report) is in the process of being registered at the local Dadri police station. Additionally, law enforcement teams are actively engaged in the investigation, aiming to swiftly resolve this tragic case.
In a similar incident that took place a few days back, a 32-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his cousin over a land dispute. The perpetrator was in an inebriated state when he shot his brother. Even though the victim was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
