Jaipur: A married woman was murdered in Jalore, according to Rajasthan police. The police have charged her lover with murder. He was also a relative of the deceased and lived in the same neighbourhood as her. The accused murdered the woman in order to get rid of her. Following the murder, the accused youth Pancharam Vishnoi (22), son of Kishna Ram, kept a close eye on all police activity.
According to Harshvardhan Aggarwal, SP Jalore, on August 9, information was received at the police station Jhab that a woman’s dead body was lying on the road connecting Golia and Karavadi. When police arrived, they identified the deceased as Bhagwati alias Pavani, the wife of Ghamda Ram Vishnoi. The body was seized by police and sent for post-mortem. Sanvlaram, the deceased Bhagwati’s father, filed a dowry murder case against the in-laws’ side. Wednesday evening, the body was cremated.
When the police investigating the case began questioning the people in the area, some things became clear. The police also learned that the woman was involved in an illicit relationship. The entire situation became clear when the police interrogated Pancharam, the deceased Bhagwati’s neighbour relative.
Pancharam told the cops that he and Bhagwati had been having an affair for a long time but that he wanted to get rid of her. He had discussed it with Bhagwati several times, but she was not ready to end the relationship.
On August 8, Bhagwati arrived at Pancharam’s house. By engaging in conversation, the accused took her to a remote location away from home and strangled her with a petticoat. After that, he picked up the dead body and threw it on the unpaved road before returning home to sleep.
