Haridwar, Uttarakhand: In a village under the jurisdiction of the Haridwar Bahadarabad police station, a man’s wife, who was having an illicit relation, attempted to strangle him along with her lover. Fortunately, the victim was able to make some noise. As a result, his children woke up and caused a commotion.

The neighbours arrived at the house after hearing the noise. However, the accused escaped by climbing the wall in the darkness of night.

The police have filed a case against the wife and lover based on the husband’s complaint and are looking into the situation.

What exactly happened?

Vipin Kumar, son of Alipur resident Gyan Chand, claims that his wife is having an illicit affair with a young man from the village. The accused youth Ajay, son of Pramod Kumar, was talked about it several times, but he refused to put an end to the affair.

Despite repeated counseling, the wife and her lover allegedly tried to strangle the husband while he was sleeping on Friday night.

Hearing the noise, the children woke up, and the people around them flocked to the location. He was barely saved. During this time, the accused fled by climbing the wall.

Police station in-charge Nitesh Sharma stated that an investigation has begun by filing a case against Vipin Kumar’s wife Annu and Ajay under relevant sections.
