Raigad (Maharashtra): In a horrible incident, a mechanic sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl in lift in Raigad’s Taloja in Maharashtra.
Mohd Akhtar Mathar Hussain (19) abducted the girl when she was playing outside. The accused took her to the lift where he assaulted the minor sexually. Hussain was visiting a nearby flat when he saw the girl.

J Sonawane, Supretendent Inspector (SI) informed that the girl told the family about the rape when she returned home and started puking. Upon seeing her in this condition, the family panicked.
The girl told her parents about the assault. The parents along with neighbours rushed outside home to nab the accused before he could run, handing him over to the Taloja MIDC police station.
The police informed that the girl has identified the accused. Meanwhile, the accused has also confessed his crime.
Hussain has been booked under IPC Section 376 (rape) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police is looking into his all records if was ever found involved in criminal activities.
