Gurugram: A servant in DLF Phase 2, Gurugram, stole Rs 2 lakh and two gold coins from his owner’s office, which is a property dealer. Based on CCTV footage installed by the official police, they arrested and filed a complaint against the accused.
The accused was identified as Rajesh Kumar Paswan, who had been working in Arun Sharma’s office located in AkashNeem Marg since June 2022. Sharma brought Rs 12 lakh to his office for some work on April 3 and stored cash in a table drawer along with two gold coins weighing 10 and 5 grammes. The key was then left on the table by him.
When Sharma returned to the workplace the next day, he discovered that the cash and gold coins had vanished from the drawer and that Paswan had gone missing, his phone turned off.

According to the property dealer, the CCTV footage showed Paswan removing the money from the drawer late at night.
On Monday, an FIR was filed against the servant, a Bihar native, under Section 381 (stealing by a servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the DLF Phase 2 police station.
The investigating officer, ASI Bablish Kumar, stated that an inquiry has begun and that the accused will be detained soon.
