New Delhi: An eccentric watchman pushed a woman from the 20th floor of a housing society. The case has come to light from Malad West located in the suburbs of Mumbai.
The security guard of the building took the woman with him to the top of the building. He then pushed her off from the building. However, at times luck seeps in uncanny ways. She somehow got stuck on the roof of the balcony on 18th floor.
Police and fire tenders rushed to the spot and rescued her safely. The security guard who fled earlier was caught by the Police later on.
According to the Malad police, on July 28, a 26-year-old woman who works in Malad West Blue Horizon Tower was going home after finishing her work at around 9.45 am. The security guard of the building, Arjun Singh was on duty at the time.
He told her that a new resident, who has shifted in the A-wing on the 20th floor is looking for a house help. She is willing to up to Rs 3000 for a day. When they went to the flat the owner asked them to return after half an hour.
The woman went to the terrace to pick up the clothes that were hanging to dry. According to the woman Arjun came from behind, grabbed her by the throat. He then threw her down from the terrace an fled. However, she got stuck on the shed of the balcony on 18th floor.
On receiving the news, Malad Police and Fire Brigade immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the woman from the window. The woman suffered minor injuries to her neck and head and hand. She was sent to Shatabdi Hospital for treatment. Malad Police had arrested the security guard Arjun. A case of attempt to murder was registered on Arjun Singh. Police started searching for him and he was nabbed today.
On being caught the accused said that he had a relationship with the woman. He also claimed that she used to blackmail and extort money from him. He also said that he was fed up of this and wanted to remove her from the way. The woman however, has denied these allegations.
