Surat: In Gujarat’s Surat district, a big robbery took place in a filmy style. As soon as the bank opened in the morning, five miscreants wearing helmets entered inside and took all the employees hostage at gunpoint.

Within 5 minutes, the robbers looted 14 lakh rupees. As soon as the news broke, crime branch officers and local police reached the spot and action was initiated. The police have identified the accused by scanning the CCTV installed in the bank and started searching for them.

Five miscreants entered the bank waving guns

In fact, this incident of broad daylight bank robbery took place at Bank of Maharashtra branch in Sachin’s Vanj village at around 11 AM on Friday where five unknown miscreants came riding on two bikes wearing helmets.

Armed with weapons in their hands, the five barged in brandishing their guns and took the bank employees hostage at gunpoint. After this they looted 14 lakhs and ran away.

Surat on red alert

During the robbery, CCTV camera caught robbers entering the bank. Police raised red alert and blockade in Surat city and surrounding districts.

Along with this, vehicle checking was started on the roads going out of the city. Not only this, all the CCTV and surveillance teams engaged in the bank have been tasked to reach the accused.

SOG, PCB, Crime Branch team is investigating

This was not the first incident of broad-daylight-bank robbery in Surat or Gujarat. Even before this, cases of such loot have come to the fore.
