Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Having rats in the house isn’t such a big deal. It is also normal for rats to gnaw on household items, but when the government starts losing millions of rupees as a result of these rats. Then it grows larger.

Something similar is happening in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district. Rats have made life miserable in this house. According to a report by Munaadi, rats have destroyed government property worth crores of rupees.

We’re talking about a 700-crore medical college in Bastar. The fear of rats is growing at this medical college, and the administration was forced to issue a tender to get rid of them.

There are thousands of rats in this medical college, and they gnaw on hospital equipment worth lakhs of rupees every day, rendering it useless.

It is said that the rats have become so uncontrollable that they are reaching the patients’ beds and drinking their medicines and glucose.

A private company in Raipur has been tasked with killing and burying these rats. A budget of Rs 12 lakh has also been set aside for the rat eradication.

According to information, 50 to 60 rats are killed and buried by company employees every day, while 5 to 6 thousand rats terrorise the hospital.

So far, approximately 1,500 rats have been killed and buried as part of a month-long mouse campaign.
