Under the DPR prepared for the metro project till Vasundhara Cut, the proposed cost of the said route was estimated at Rs 1517 crore. Now GDA plans to connect Noida Sector-62 Metro with the Sahibabad station of the Rapid X train. Therefore, DPR will be prepared with minor changes. Due to this, there will be a slight change in the location of the proposed Vasundhara Metro station. A total of five metro stations are proposed from Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad station of the Rapid X train.

After the lobbying of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Housing Nitin Ramesh Gokarn a few months ago where government officials said that the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is working on the funding pattern in other cities of UP. The Ghaziabad authority should present a similar proposal.
