New Delhi: The Rajasthan High Court had accepted the request of parole from a prisoner serving life sentence for a very interesting yet unusual request.
His release on parole was granted by the Rajasthan High Court in order for him to establish matrimonial relationship with his wife. The request was accepted so that the couple can conceive and have a child.
Following the order of the parole for this specific prisoner many such requests have started coming in to the government from other prisoners as well who are serving life sentence and wish to have a child which otherwise is clearly not possible owing to the crimes they have committed.
However, the Rajasthan government has approached the Supreme Court against this particular decision of the High Court. The case will e heard by the apex court next week.
