Rajasthan: Athletes to get 2 per cent reservation on govt jobs

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Saturday announced a reservation of 2 per cent on government jobs for athletes. The state government has made declared more policies in favor of players.

It has also announced a provision of out-of-turn jobs. It will be given to 229 talented athletes and pension for coaches and athletes.

Ashok Gehlot-led state government has increased the price money up to 3 crore for athletes who will win medals in international events.

The CMO Rajasthan on Twitter quoted Gehlot and wrote, “The state government has taken continuous decisions in the interest of sports and sportspersons.”

“2 percent reservation for players in government jobs, giving out-of-turn jobs to 229 talented players, has also made provision for pension for coaches and players,” it added.
